A great combination of fun and function, featuring an adorable printed waterproof outer, lined with a soft terry inner that will stop solid messes in their tracks. Stretch side snaps give a custom fit and make for easy clean ups!
Cloth swim diapers are made to be worn, washed, and worn again. After wearing, we suggestwashing, especially if your baby pooped in the diaper. To clean a soiled cloth swim diaper, remove as much solid matter from the diaper as you can, place it in a dry pail, wash on a warm cycle with detergent, and tumble dry low. You don’t need to soak cloth swim diapers.
While some people use a pocket diaper or a cloth diaper cover without the inserts for swimming, we don’t recommend it. Even though many diaper covers are waterproof, in a pool they will slowly start to fill up with water, which will weigh your baby down, and then when you take them out, all that water (and poop if there is any) will likely leak out the leg openings. Repeated exposure to chlorine will also ruin the waterproofing on a cloth diaper cover.
Cloth swim diapers are made to hold in solid waste, let water out, and stand strong against chlorine. They’re the safer and best choice for swimming.
No, you do not need to prep wash your swim diaper since it isn’t an absorbency diaper. It’s just used to keep the “stuff” contained until you can get your baby out of the water to change them.
I like this swim diaper but I don't like the terry cloth lining. When it gets wet it sags like a soggy disposable. I've used it primarily at the beach and the sand doesn't stick in the material like some other swim diapers.
Diaper fit perfectly on our LO. No fuss or complication putting on or taking it off. We haven't had an accident so far, but our LO is happy in it and enjoys the pool and the beach. Inside lining is soft to the touch. Double snap closures keep the diaper snug. We're foreseeing a lot of swim and beach days in our future.
We loved our recent purchase of the GroVia swim diaper. We purchased the gray as the others were out of stock. The inside is lined with terry cloth and was super absorbent, and even contained my sweet baby’s breast milk only poop! He is 7 months and weighs about 28 pounds. We went with a size three and it fits great with room to grow. We are able to fit on the tightest snaps, so we are pleased that he should be able to use this swim diaper for next summer as well. He has super chunky thighs so I was concerned that the size two wouldn’t fit him there. We ordered three diapers for an upcoming beach trip, and I was thankful for all three! We have actually used these as diapers several times since getting back home. We just layered in a few previously purchased doublers or inserts from pocket diapers and they still work great! Locally, we could only find washable swim diapers that slipped on, which were already tight with elevator that left lines all over my sweet boy... they also seemed like they could get messy! I definitely would recommend these wonderful washable swim diapers to the less eco-friendly disposable version that can become costly after a summer at the pool as well.
