Dear GroVia Community,
Today, I’m writing with a heavy heart.
Since 2008, we’ve proudly designed and manufactured GroVia products with families like yours in mind—sustainable, high-quality cloth diapers made responsibly in partnership with a factory we've trusted for over 15 years in China.
Due to the newly imposed tariffs—reaching as high as 145% on goods imported from China—continuing to bring in our products at the same level of quality and affordability is no longer sustainable. These tariffs, enacted without regard to the countless American small businesses they impact, have made it nearly impossible for us to operate without drastically increasing our prices—something we’ve never wanted to do.
So, for now, we’ve made the painful decision to sell through our current inventory and place GroVia operations on hold until this trade policy changes. This is not the end of GroVia, but a pause driven by forces beyond our control. Our hope is that this community, built on shared values of care for the planet and our children’s future, will understand why we've had to make this choice.
I want to thank you for your loyalty, your love for our brand, and the many years you’ve trusted us to be a part of your parenting journey. I also urge those in leadership to consider who these tariffs really hurt—not giant corporations, but American workers, families, and businesses like ours.
We will continue to keep you updated. Until then, we invite you to shop our remaining inventory while supplies last.
With gratitude and resolve,
Kim Ormsby
