I really like the idea behind these soaker pads. They are super easy to snap in and the TPU backing on the pad makes it so that I usually don't need to air out my shells before reusing them, unless my daughter completely soaks the pad. They are user friendly and the do not take up a lot of drying space (I personally prefer to hang-dry my diapering products). They do take longer to dry compared to other products I use, but flipping them inside out and hanging them on hooks (instead of flat) helps.
One area that could use improvement (photos included): When you lay the shell flat, and place the soaker on top of it and snap it in, the edge of the soaker doesn't lay inside of the shell; the edge of the soaker lays on top of the edge of the shell. If the snap on the soaker was in a different place, I could lay the soaker in the shell in such a way that it would not stick out. Once the soaker is snapped in, I can tug on the pad and it will go down a little bit, but this step is awkward when you're doing it with a wiggly baby. I still often need to tuck the pad inside of the shell in the back and this often results in an awkward bulge in the back of the diaper.. This really is a minor problem in the grand scheme of cloth diapering, but for the price of the system, and the exclusivity of the grovia system, I would expect that something like this wouldn't be a problem.
Thank you so much for this feedback and photos. Actually, once the Organic Cotton Soaker Pad is fully prepped it shrinks to the correct size and fits perfectly within the Shell. They are designed to fit together without sticking above the waistband. Go ahead and completely prepping your Soaker Pad as instructed and this will not be a problem.

After using these I have gotten completely spoiled. They are so convenient, so well made, and SO absorbent! They also hold up very well (as long as they are correctly cared for) my sister-in-law gave me her stash to go with mine and they lasted through 2 babies entire cloth diapering phase and are still working great for my little one now. Definitely worth a little extra cash! Here's a photo of a couple of the ones that have lasted so long!
I love these! They are a bit bulkier compared to the all in one diaper option, but that makes them great for big peeiers and older kiddoes. My son is 5 mo and we do elimination communication at home so it's overkill for us right now, but we plan to use these as he gets older and while we are out and about because 1 pad will take less space in the wet bag than an all in one diaper.
Love these so much!! I’m obsessed
These may require some prep work up front but it's worth it. The absorbency is great and they are so soft. I feel very comfortable putting these on my baby's skin.
These were as good as full priced ones
Easy to prep and so soft and absorbent. I feel great knowing they are organic cotton.
Love these! Not the cotton cloth diapers you and I grew up with. So much easier. No pins. Easy to clean.
These are some of the best inserts we have used
The best inserts we have used
These are the best inserts. We only use natural fibers in our cloth diapers and these fit the bill.
Although these will only SNAP into Grovia diapers, they work great for stuffing into any cloth diapers for extra absorbency. They also work great in a pinch as a burp cloth, rag, napkin, etc.
Perfect for nap time
Ultra soft, super absorbent. Amazing.
After using no preps for my last baby, I decided to give these a try. They are so soft! I love the organic cotton for babies sensitive skin.
Buy 2 if you can!
They are fantastic
We love the cloth diapers and especially these second quality soaker pads. We don't notice a difference between these abd tge regular ones!
I got these second quality ones for budget purposes and I haven’t had an issue with them. They work great and absorption seems to work great. I use these with the hybrid shell for overnight.
I do have to scrub the edges a little to make sure poo comes out the stitching because it will stay stuck in the cracks even after two washes but other than that, they’re great!
My son is a pee monster and this has by far been the best over night soaker for my son. I’ll sometimes layer it with a newborn Prefold. It’s amazing.
These have been awesome for our little guy!
It took a while to prep these but it was worth it. They're very absorbent!
I love that there is a waterproof backer so you can unsnap without sticking your hand in poo!!!
These are perfect. I cant even tell what the imperfection may be!
Love these! So incredibly soft, and I feel good knowing it’s a layer of organic cotton that is on baby’s bum. Also love the GroVia design in that each soaker pad has its own waterproof lining, so I don’t ever have to touch wet cloth. Just fold the diaper in half, reach between the pad and shell to un-snap, and hold the outside of the folded insert to toss it in your diaper pail. So nice!
I had a few old secondhand organic cotton soakers that were working well, so I decided to add a few new ones to our stash with the seconds sale. First of all, I can’t tell why these are seconds—maybe they’re less pure-white-colored and more cream than the others I have?? Definitely nothing that interferes with function. I even inspected the stitching closely and can’t find a single defect. But WOWZA they are SO much softer than our secondhand inserts! Still soft after several washes, and it makes me feel good that these must be very comfortable on our little girl’s bum. We’ve had a few minor poop stains that came out easily with a couple hours in the sun. Also, compared to the No-prep soakers, the smooth surface is very easy to get poop off of (I tend to just use a couple squares of TP to wipe it into the toilet). They fit a bit trimmer than the no-prep as well. All around, loving our new inserts!
Grovia products are amazing. We are using cloth diapers for the first time and love the soaker pads. Our baby loves them too. When we first started using diapers our babe kept having a little diaper rash on and off, but since using Grovia and their cloth diapers, we rarely have any skin concerns/issues.
Very absorbent and the cotton is really soft.
I love that these are waterproof in the back!
